Advice opportunities in light of the UK Autumn Budget

UK tax law is undergoing fundamental changes, many of which impact the British Expat. These changes bring complexity but also offer significant opportunities for advisers and their clients where clients are emigrating from the UK, are already living outside of the UK or are considering a return.

This presentation considered theoretical and practical matters resulting from the UK Budget in respect of the above and will include; UK Residency, Long Term Residency, Spousal Exemptions & Elections, Chargeable Transfers, Foreign Income & Gains, QNUPS and UK Registered Pensions and Double Tax Conventions.

The presentation also provided an insight into the role of the modern QNUPS and how these products can help maximise a client’s position in respect of investment, income, taxation, succession, and asset protection.

Impacts of Trump and inflation on multi-asset portfolios

Pacific discussed the impact on multi-asset portfolio positioning following a change of leadership in the US, along with the effects of inflation, valuations and earnings on world markets.

Driving efficiency in financial planning with AI

Discover how AI is reshaping financial planning processes, driving efficiency, and enhancing compliance for advisers across Europe.

This presentation explored how AI can streamline financial planning by enhancing transparency and improving data integrations across the tech stack. It highlighted practical applications of automation in the advice process, from reducing administrative burdens to enabling greater compliance transparency.

Our mission is to empower financial advisers to focus more on their client relationships while meeting the growing demands of regulatory frameworks. Whether you are curious about AI’s potential or looking for actionable strategies to drive efficiency, this session provided valuable insights tailored to the needs of FEIFA members.

Registration opened at 09:30am with tea and coffee available. The presentations ran from 10:00am to 1:00pm, followed by a complimentary lunch.

Then, from 2:00pm, there were further sessions, arranged by CIFSA, which were highly focused on specific issues for Cyprus-based advisers. These included presentations from the British Consul, Billionair, and CIFSA, the latter covering updates on tax and residency, plus new technical information on Cyprus trusts. The presentations finished at 5:00pm.
