The Federation of European Independent Financial Advisers

FEIFA - A voice across Europe and beyond for advisers

FEIFA - THE FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISERS

FEIFA is a trade association that represents English-speaking Financial Advisers operating throughout Europe. Whilst it exists to assist such businesses and individuals, it also aims to increase professional and technical standards of advice for the ultimate benefit of consumers. To see how you may benefit from using the services of a FEIFA adviser, please click here.

The Federation provides a strong voice for the adviser community across Europe and beyond; representing the sector with financial institutions and, where relevant, with governments and regulatory bodies.

In August 2023, as part of its commitment to sustainability, FEIFA became carbon neutral by reducing its footprint – making better decisions around travel, meeting locations etc – and then via purchasing official carbon offsets for whatever emissions remained. You can see our certificate and badge here.

In May 2019 FEIFA commemorated its 10 year anniversary. Since formation, FEIFA has supported the financial advice sector, enabling member companies to navigate regulatory changes and benefit from significant professional development services. This special video presentation highlights many of the Federation’s milestones and achievements during its first decade.

Membership is not available to all advisers and their companies. We only admit members following a relevant vetting and due diligence procedure.

FEIFA therefore provides consumers with an independent assessment of the regulatory status of its member companies, who also sign up to a Code of Conduct.

FEIFA offers a valuable service for advisers by helping to establish a favourable operating environment, a forum for discussion and by distributing relevant industry and technical information to assist them in their businesses.

ABOUT THE FEDERATION

FEIFA regularly receives media coverage from well renowned industry publications including “International Adviser” and “International Investment“, which provide up to the minute news for advisers across the globe.

The Federation is also privileged to be an Affiliate of both the Consumer Duty Alliance (https://consumerduty.org/) and the Association of International Life Offices (https://ailo.org/), as well as a Partner Association of the Convention of Independent Financial Advisors (CIFA) and a member of FECIF – a pan-European trade association that represents in excess of 500,000 individual professionals across the Continent.
