FEIFA Webinar 1 - 18th March 2026
The companies thast presented included (in alphabetical order):
IDAD
The product is advice
Investment advice is primarily focused on the accumulation phase of investing, but the key for most advisers is how to deal with the decumulation phase – how to direct investments when they need to fund the post-income life of clients. IDAD looked at the challenges facing advisers and how to address them. Importantly, although there seem to be a myriad of product ‘solutions’ the key remains the input of a good financial adviser to guide clients through the most important phase of their investment journey.
LGT Wealth

Currency exposure is a critical, and often overlooked, driver of portfolio outcomes. In this session, Adam Burniston, Senior Portfolio Manager, explored how exchange rate movements influence asset allocation, diversification, and overall portfolio risk, and how to integrate currency considerations into strategic portfolio construction. Gary Donald, US Wealth Manager, also examined the unique planning, regulatory, and investment challenges facing US-connected clients.

Atlas Life
The great intergenerational wealth transfer and the impacts on financial planning
Across the Western economies, the Great Intergenerational Wealth Transfer refers to the trillions of Pounds and Euros expected to pass from older generations to their children and grandchildren over the coming decades. This shift will reshape how families think about inheritance, taxes, and long-term security. For individuals and financial advisors alike, it means planning earlier, communicating more openly across generations, and designing strategies that protect and grow wealth as it moves from one generation to the next.
At the same time, governments facing growing spending pressures and rising public debt are increasingly focused on inheritance and estate taxes, often described as “death taxes”, as a significant source of revenue. As more wealth changes hands, tax policy is likely to evolve, making thoughtful planning around estates, gifting, and wealth transfer strategies an essential part of protecting family wealth. This presentation will explore all of those themes.
Capital International
Tools, Jewels & Greater Fools
In a world in which the investment narrative has been dominated by AI, they explored the quiet trend that has been more fully rewarding portfolios. As the market attempts to determine the winners and losers in the expensive tech space, the ultimate ‘picks & shovels’ companies with reasonable valuations and wide competitive moats have been at the centre of portfolio performance. Where do we go from here? This presentation addressed that.
